The ability of a website to perform well in search engine rankings can be estimated using a statistic developed by Moz called Domain Authority. When it comes to search engine results pages (SERPs), a website's Domain Authority directly correlates to the likelihood that it will rank higher overall.
The score for Domain Authority is out of a possible 100 points. If the number is larger, then the website in question has a higher Domain Authority. A website that has a domain authority (DA) of 30 is more likely to rank higher in search engine results pages (SERPs) than a website that has a DA of 10.
The popularity and authority of a website's links are taken into account when calculating a website's Domain Authority, which is established by analyzing the backlink profile of the website. A website's Domain Authority will increase proportionately to the number and quality of links that it possesses.
Webmasters have access to a free tool called the Domain Authority Checker from Moz, which allows them to evaluate the Domain Authority of their own websites. The program analyzes a website's backlink profile and determines the popularity and authority of the links that it contains.
Both a browser extension and a website widget version of the Many Domain Authority Checker utility are currently available. The extension offers compatibility for using the browsers Firefox, Chrome, and Safari. Websites built with WordPress, Joomla, and Drupal are all compatible with the widget.
