About Robots.txt Generator

Robots.txt is a text file that can be uploaded to the root folder of your website in order to provide assistance to search engines in correctly indexing your site. Website crawlers, often known as robots, are used by search engines like Google to analyze all of the content that is located on your website. You do not want some parts of your website, such as the admin page, to be crawled by them so that they can be included in the search results that users see. When these pages are added to the file, they are typically disregarded because of this practice. The Robots Exclusion Protocol is utilized by files with the extension "robots.txt." This website is able to quickly build the file for you to support the websites that you want to exclude from consideration. In addition, the REP contains directives such as meta robots as well as page-, subdirectory-, or site-wide instructions for how search engines should read links (such as "follow" or "nofollow").

In point of fact, robots.txt files are used to define whether or not certain user agents (web-crawling software) are authorized to crawl certain sections of a website or whether they are restricted from doing so. These instructions for the crawl indicate whether to "allow" or "disallow" specific (or all) user agent activity.
